Camden, Maine, June 21, 2006 -Camden National Bank will host a celebration of Roger Moody's retirement at its Downtown Main Office on Friday, June 30 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Roger recently announced that he will retire at the end of June and spend more time with his wife, Audrey, and his family.
Roger joined Camden National Bank in January 2003 as Vice President of Community Development and Government Banking after serving more than 11 years as Camden's Town Manager. In this capacity, Roger has served as the Bank's liaison with community, non-profit and educational organizations and concentrated on providing resources for government sectors at the municipal and county level to encourage local growth and prosperity.
Prior to joining Camden National Bank, Roger had a long and distinguished career in public service. In addition to his work with Camden National Bank and the Town of Camden, he previously worked as Director of Business Services for the Bangor School Department, and as City Manager for Ellsworth.
"Roger's contribution to Camden National Bank has been significant," stated Bank President Gregory A. Dufour. "He has created a municipal banking area within the Bank, served as a member of the Donations Committee, and provided many of his Camden National colleagues with mentoring and guidance. While we always knew Roger's tenure with us would be brief, we’re all amazed by how fast the time went. We all wish Roger and Audrey the best in their retirement."
"Camden National will always be my bank," explained Roger. "While I look forward to spending more time with my family, I have enjoyed working with the Camden National team and will miss friends and colleagues at the Bank."
