Marsha Osgood Connors Joins Acadia Trust, N.A.

Marsha Connors to serve as Vice President, Senior Trust Officer and Wealth Advisor - 6/30/2008

ELLSWORTH, Maine, June 30, 2008 - Marsha Osgood Connors, Esq., CTFA recently joined Acadia Trust, N.A. as vice president, senior trust officer and wealth advisor. Based in Ellsworth, Marsha will work with investment and trust clients primarily in Down East Maine and focus on developing new sources of business. In this role, Marsha will also have responsibility for trust administration and staff oversight.

Marsha has more than 13 years of trust, tax, and estate planning experience. Prior to joining Acadia Trust, she served as managing director and personal trust relationship manager for U.S. Bank National Association's Private Client Group in Florida where she helped develop new trust offices. Prior to moving to Florida, Marsha was a personal trust administrative officer and tax coordinator with Union Trust Company from 1995 to 1999.

"As a Belfast, Maine native, I’m excited to be part of a Maine-based organization again and to have the opportunity to work with clients in my home state," said Marsha. "I look forward to working with the Acadia Trust team to continue to match people with the appropriate investments and estate planning techniques to meet their financial needs."

Marsha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Tufts University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law. She recently completed the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning with the University of Miami School of Law. Prior to that, she completed the American Bankers Association National Trust and National Graduate Trust Schools. In 1999, Marsha was awarded the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation. As a licensed attorney and member of the bar in Maine and Florida, Marsha participates in the real property, probate, elder law, and tax sections in both states.

Marsha and her family have relocated to Bangor, Maine where they look forward to continuing to enjoy outdoor recreation and community activities.
