Camden National Bank Names Dave Waterman as New Commercial Banking Officer

Augusta, Maine, October 18, 2012 – Timothy Nightingale, executive vice president and senior lending officer for Camden National Bank, is pleased to announce that Dean Waterman has joined Camden National Bank, and has been named vice president, commercial banking officer for the bank. Waterman will be based in the bank’s newly-acquired Auburn branch and will manage commercial banking relationships throughout the Lewiston/Auburn market.

“I believe that in today’s environment, businesses are looking for a bank they can trust, one that makes local decisions and still knows what customer service means,” said Waterman. “Camden National is that bank, and that is why I am honored to be a part of the growing Camden National team here in Lewiston/Auburn.” 

Waterman joins Camden National with 17 years of lending experience, most recently serving as vice president, business banking relationship manager for Key Bank in Lewiston. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Peoples Heritage Bank/TD Bank working in several areas, including mortgage lending and retail and small business development. Before that, he was a loan originator for Crossland Mortgage Corp in Auburn.

Waterman graduated from Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, Massachusetts, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and minors in English, history and accounting. He has been recognized with several awards throughout his career, including the Maine Business Banking Relationship Manager Award, the Key Total Treasury Partnership Award, the Pacesetter Award for Business Banking, the Execute to Perfection Award and the Signature Circle Award. He is active in the community, serving on the board of the Maine Youth Camp Foundation and on the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce Education Committee. Waterman also volunteers, coaching soccer and softball, and is the co-director a children’s church program in Brunswick, Maine. He lives in Poland, Maine, with his wife and two daughters.
