Camden National Bank Names Elliot Barry as New Commercial Banking Officer

Portland, Maine, October 16, 2012 – Timothy Nightingale, executive vice president and senior lending officer for Camden National Bank, is pleased to announce that Elliott Barry has joined Camden National Bank, and has been named vice president, commercial banking officer for the bank. Barry will be based in the Portland branch and will manage commercial banking relationships throughout the Southern Maine market.

Finding solutions and building strong relationships is what I look forward to every day,” said Barry. “I’m excited to join a bank that focuses on building relationships that are based on trust and integrity.”

Barry joined Camden National with more than 11 years of experience in the financial services and commercial banking industries. Most recently, he served as vice president, relationship manager for People’s United Bank in Portland. Prior to that, he was vice president, commercial relationship manager for Citizens Financial Group in Nashua, New Hampshire.

“Elliott’s commercial lending experience gives him a unique insight into business needs,” said Nightingale. “He is passionate about helping businesses succeed, and will be an asset to our Portland team.” 

Barry holds a bachelor’s degree from Colby College and a master’s degree in business administration from the Olin School of Business at Babson College. He sits on the board of My-Turn, Inc., a non-profit based out of Brockton, Massachusetts, that provides job training and dropout prevention services for underserved youth in gateway cities. This month Barry will be appointed to the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine. He currently lives in Yarmouth.
