Camden National Bank Names Ryan Smith as New Regional Manager

Lewiston, Maine, August 16, 2012 – Tim Nightingale, executive vice president and senior lending officer for Camden National Bank, is pleased to announce that Ryan A. Smith has been named senior vice president, commercial regional manager for the southern and central regions of Maine. 

“We are very pleased to have Ryan joining our leadership team,” said Nightingale. “With his strong roots in the Lewiston/Auburn community and his proven track record of helping businesses find creative solutions to their banking needs, I believe Ryan will not only be a great asset for Camden National Bank, but also for the businesses in the community.” 

Smith is based in Lewiston and will oversee Camden National’s commercial banking activities in central and southern Maine. 

Smith joins Camden National Bank 15 years of commercial banking experience. Most recently, he was senior vice president of commercial banking for People’s United Bank, where he worked for ten years. Prior to that, Smith held commercial positions at Northway Bank and Ford Motor Credit Company. 

“I decided to join Camden National because of its strong commitment to the people and businesses of the state of Maine. Smith received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Maine at Orono. He has extensive credit training and has participated in several leadership programs, including the Androscoggin Leadership Development Institute and the Maine Bankers Association’s Bank Leaders of Tomorrow program. Smith currently serves as director and is the immediate past president of the board of the Building Materials Exchange of Maine, and is a volunteer coach and manager of the New Auburn and Auburn Suburban Little League. He lives in Auburn with his wife and two children.
