Your checking account will be transferred over to a similar account at Camden National Bank. We will be notifying you in the mail of your new account and its features and benefits. All of our accounts offer:
If you have our premier Anchor account or a Student checking account, you will be automatically refunded the fee that other financial institutions charge for use of their machines within the United States. If you use an ATM outside of the country, take the receipt to your local branch and you will receive a refund.
If you have our Compass or Senior checking accounts, you may select the "CNB Passport" which for $10 a month you will receive an automatic refund of the fee charged by the other bank or institution for use of their machines within the United States. If you use an ATM outside of the country, take the receipt to your local branch and you will receive a refund.
If you use your debit card to make a purchase at a store, select the cash back option during the checkout process and immediately receive the extra money you need free of charge. Please note: The cash back amount will be added to your total amount at the store and will not show up as a separate item on your monthly statement.
You will keep the same account number that you have now with Bank of America. Your routing and transit number will change to 011201458.

Keep the Change® and Add it Up®: Camden National Bank does not offer Keep the Change® or Add it Up® rewards. Keep the Change and Add it Up program features and benefits will end on Wednesday, October 17. Any matches earned within the past year will be deposited to your Bank of America savings account prior to Friday, October 26. Please contact Bank of America at 866-251-0233 for more information.
You will receive a final statement from Bank of America that reflects account activity through October 26. Your Camden National statements will reflect banking activity as of October 27.
You will receive an complementary supply of 25 checks and 5 deposit slip with your account number and new routing number. Please do not start using your new Camden National Bank checks and deposit slips until Saturday, October 27.
You can place an order for additional checks beginning on October 18 by visiting OrderMyChecks.com. Use discount code “PD” to receive a 50% discount on your first order. Anchor and Senior Checking customers will be refunded for the cost of their order.
If you order checks through a third party vendor, remember that your account number will remain the same, but your new routing number is 011201458.
You should receive your new debit or ATM card by October 20. Depending on the type and number of accounts that you have transitioning over to Camden National Bank, you may have received more than one PIN and card.
You may activate and start using your new card on October 26 at 8 a.m. and can change your PIN at any Camden National ATM. Please note you will have limited access to the funds in your account, October 26-28, as your account transitions to Camden National Bank. Access to all funds will be available on October 29.
Direct deposit, social security, and disability payments will be transferred to Camden National Bank. We have submitted a notice of change to the state of Maine as well as private employers notifying them of the change in your banking relationship.
In most instances, the entity will accept and honor this request.
There may be some entity that will not process this change. Your direct deposit will not get lost and will still be credited to your account. However, we request that you notify your employer or other direct deposit entity of the change no earlier than October 29. A request of change that is submitted to an employer or the government prior to October 29 will result in delay in payment of funds.
Camden National Bank will notify the appropriate entities of the change in your banking relationship. Starting on October 29, please use this form to confirm the change in banking relationship with all automatic payment and deposit vendors who require it in writing.
Recurring incoming wire transfers will not automatically transition to Camden National Bank. Any incoming wires received at Bank of America starting at 5 pm on October 26 will be returned to sender. Please notify the sender of any recurring incoming wires of your new wire instructions
Send to: Camden National Bank, 2 Elm Street, Camden, ME 04843 and include the account holder’s name, account number and the Camden National routing and transit number 011201458.
If you currently have an overdraft protection line of credit or credit card attached to your checking account, this will not be transferring over to Camden National Bank.
Re-establish any transfers you currently have in place between accounts, other financial institutions or individuals on or after October 29.
Your deposits will continue to be FDIC insured up to the maximum amount allowed by law.
If you currently have deposits converting from Bank of America and also have deposits at Camden National Bank with the same ownership title or titles, your deposits will continue to be insured separately for a period of six (6) months after the conversion. After that time, those deposit amounts will be combined to determine the amount of your FDIC coverage.
All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes traditional checking accounts or demand deposit accounts on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, savings accounts, and money market deposit accounts.
Your savings account will be transferred over to a similar account at Camden National Bank.
Your account number will remain the same as it is today. Your new routing number is 011201458.
You will need to re-establish any automatic account transfers you currently have in place between accounts, other financial institutions or individuals.
Your online banking account has automatically transferred over to Camden National Bank. Starting on Monday, October 29 at 9:00 you will be able to login for the first time. You should have received your temporary login ID and password in the mail. If you have not, please contact our Customer Assistance Center at (800) 860-8821 and they will walk you through the log in process.First Time Login
Our Bill Pay system allows you to pay bills as needed or schedule recurring payments on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
We will transfer your current bill pay account to Camden National. Review your bill pay account to verify the correct information has been transferred to your new account to ensure you do not miss any prescheduled transactions.

You will receive one final e-Statement from Bank of America reflecting account activity from your last statement through October 26 through the mail. Your next e-Statement will be from Camden National and will include account activity from October 27 forward.
You will need to re-establish any transfers between accounts that you currently have in place on or after October 29.
If you have an automatic transfer between you Bank of America account and a Bank of America loan, you should have received a letter from Bank America allowing them to continue debiting from your account. If you did not receive a letter, you will need to manually re-establish this transaction.
To make transfers on your mobile phone, you must go to preferences>mobile>mobile authorization and create an authorization code through the online banking system. You will need to use this code each time you make a transfer using your smartphone or tablet.
If you currently use the My Portfolio® feature to manage your budget and financial goals, you will need to re-create this information in Camden National's Financial Management tool. This offers the same features and benefits that you currently have in My Portfolio®.

Your Certificates of Deposit (CDs) will transfer over from Bank of America to Camden National Bank.
Prior to Maturity
There will be no change to your existing rate, term or account agreement. You will be notified in the mail prior to an automatic renewal.
All CDs will automatically renew at maturity. You will have a 10 day grace period to withdraw or add funds or change the terms without penalty.
If you do not notify us of any changes, we will automatically renew your CD for the same term at a similar available interest rate. Upon renewal Camden National rates and terms will apply.
FDIC Insurance for CDs
CDs transferring from Bank of America to Camden National Bank are separately insured until the earliest maturity date after the end of the six-month grace period.
CDs that mature during the six-month period and are renewed for the same term and in the same dollar amount (either with or without accrued interest) continue to be separately insured until the first maturity date after the six-month period.
CDs that mature during the six-month grace period and are renewed on any other basis will be separately insured only until the end of the six-month grace period.
Your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) will transfer to Camden National Bank and we will become the new account custodian. All terms, interest rates and annual percentage yields will remain the same.
When your IRA Certificate of Deposit matures, your account will automatically be renewed for the same term and at a similar interest rate being offered by Camden National Bank.
You will continue to receive recurring distributions without an interruption in service.
