Camden, Maine, October 31, 2012 – Camden National Bank will celebrate its history as an independent, Maine-based community bank on Friday, November 16, in its western region branches. “In the spirit of being a community bank, we will show our deep appreciation to our customers by having a day of celebration at our western region branches,” said Greg Dufour, president and chief executive officer of Camden National Bank. “This year we’ll also highlight our communities by sponsoring a food drive for local food pantries and invite our customers to bring non-perishable food items to support these local organizations.”
Customers are invited to join the Community Banking Day celebration and enjoy refreshments and festivities. The branches participating in the event are Bingham, Dover-Foxcroft, Farmington, Greenville, Kingfield, Madison, Milo, Phillips, Rangeley and Stratton. The Community Banking Day celebrations began June 8th in the mid-coast region and have continued in other Camden National branches throughout the year.
As a community bank, Camden National is headquartered and operated by people within the areas it serves. With a long-standing commitment to enriching the lives of Maine people, helping businesses succeed, and vitalizing local communities, Camden National’s Community Banking Day celebration is focused on thanking and giving back to the customers and communities whose continued support makes the bank’s independence possible.
Customers are invited to visit any of the Western region branches during regular branch hours, and are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items to be donated to local food pantries. To honor local businesses and thank loyal customers, each branch will hold a raffle for a $100 gift card to a Maine-based business of each winner’s choosing. In addition, each Camden National Bank branch will make a $100 donation to a local food pantry.
