Simon GriffithsSimon R. Griffiths joined the Company in November 2023 as Executive Vice President ("EVP") and Chief Operating Officer as the successor to president and chief executive officer, effective December 31, 2023, when he became president and CEO of Camden National Corporation, as well as a member of the board of directors of Camden National Corporation and Camden National Bank. Mr. Griffiths most recently served as executive vice president - head of core banking at Citizens Bank, managing the retail, business banking, contact center, deposit, and core banking digital delivery channels, including nearly 1,100 branches, commercial real estate, deposit and checking business, and new market expansion. He joined Citizens Bank in 2015 from Santander Bank, where he served as executive vice president, managing director of the retail network. Mr. Griffiths started his banking career at Washington Mutual Bank in 2002, which was acquired by JP Morgan Chase in 2008, earning a Six Sigma Black Belt and rising swiftly through the bank over his 12-year tenure, gaining significant leadership responsibilities in operations and sales and service, with increasing market manager leadership.

Stefan Iris David Ackley Jr. first arrived at Camden National Bank in 2011 as vice president and senior information security officer. He was promoted to senior vice president and director of information security & enterprise risk management in 2016, and executive vice president, chief risk officer in 2023 after nearly 12 years of service that included “Commitment to the Employee” and “Officer of the Year” honors in 2013 and 2020, respectively. Mr. Ackley began his career as a communication computer systems operator for the United States Air Force, specializing in information technology, cybersecurity, risk mitigation, and encrypted communications before spending 14 years as Science and Technology Corporation’s manager of information technology. He is a founding member of the Boston Federal Reserve’s Cyber Threat Sharing Forum and currently serves on the American Bankers Association’s Risk and Compliance Conference Planning Committee.

Kimberly Cullen Michael R. Archer joined the company in October 2013 and became executive vice president (“EVP”), chief financial officer (“CFO”) of the Company on January 3, 2022. Prior to becoming EVP and CFO, Mr. Archer served as the Company’s senior vice president and corporate controller from June 2016 until January 2022. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Archer spent seven years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Mr. Archer is a licensed certified public accountant (“CPA”), and a recent graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking where he also completed the Wharton Leadership Program. Mr. Archer currently serves as a member of local nonprofit organizations, including as the treasurer and a board member of Jobs for Maine's Graduates, Inc., a board member for the local little league, and a committee member for the local town recreational department.

Marsha Connors Andrew R. Forbes, SHRM-SCP, joined the Company in March 2024 as EVP, chief human resources officer. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Forbes served as Chief People Officer at Alcom, LLC. In this role, Mr. Forbes leads our critical human resources functions, including enabling and cultivating a diverse workforce to serve the financial needs of our communities and drive the company’s commitment to being a great place to work. He gained expertise in talent acquisition and management, compensation, benefits, culture, and engagement at Maine Medical Center and Fairchild Semiconductor. He holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern Maine. Forbes is a Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

Marsha Connors William H. Martel joined the Company in March 2020 as EVP, technology and support services. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Martel served as head of U.S. operations technology for Santander U.S. in Boston, leading the operations and information technology service management transformations for the U.S. Previously, Mr. Martel was a senior vice president at TD Bank and served in several senior management positions in the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Martel began his banking career as a senior branch manager for People’s Heritage Bank, a predecessor to BankNorth Group.

Marsha Connors Garrett McKnight, joined the Company in April 2024 as EVP, managing director, Camden National Wealth Management. Prior to joining the company, Mr. McKnight served as a senior vice president and senior managing director of The Northern Trust Company. Mr. McKnight brings more than 20 years of experience leading wealth management teams and serving successful clients and their families in the areas of investment management, financial planning, and fiduciary services. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Elon University.

Lauren Epstein Jennifer L. Mirabile joined the Company in 2017 as the managing director of Camden National Wealth Management. A licensed CFP since 1998, Ms. Mirabile brings more than 28 years of experience in senior wealth management, private banking, and relationship management from her previous roles at People's United Bank Wealth Management and Key Private Bank. Ms. Mirabile currently serves as a member of several nonprofit committees and serves on the board of directors for the Penobscot Bay YMCA.

Barbara M. Raths, CTP

Barbara M. Raths, CTP, joined the company in 2019 and became Executive Vice President of commercial banking in 2024. Ms. Raths most recently served as Senior Vice President, Director of Treasury Management and Government Banking, where she led business, nonprofit and government treasury management business development efforts, supported by her extensive experience in cash management, risk management, and foreign exchange (FX) and trade finance. Prior to joining Camden National Bank, Ms. Raths held government banking roles at People’s United Bank, and worked in corporate treasury finance at WEX, Inc., and served as the Deputy State Treasurer for the State of Maine. Ms. Raths is actively involved in the community. She chairs the Board of Trustees for the Maine Health and Higher Educational Facilities Authority, serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Maine International Trade Center, and is a member of the Maine District Export Council.

Patricia A. Rose joined the company in September 2017 as EVP of retail & mortgage banking. Ms. Rose came to the company from Citizens Bank, where she served for two years as head of strategic onboarding & orientation, and, prior to that, director-level roles in retail network sales & strategy at Santander Bank for six years. Ms. Rose began her career in banking at Fleet Bank and Sovereign Bank, where she held a variety of leadership roles and served as market president of retail banking in Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Brenda Gatcomb Ryan A. Smith joined the company in 2012 and became EVP, commercial banking in 2020. Prior to becoming EVP, Mr. Smith led the Southern Maine commercial banking line of business and the treasury management line of business through 2015, when he became director of commercial banking for central and midcoast Maine. In 2019, he was promoted to senior vice president, director of credit administration. In September 2020, he became EVP of commercial banking. Originally from Maine, Mr. Smith is actively involved in the local community as a volunteer coach for youth baseball. He also serves as a board director and past president of the Maine Building Materials Exchange. He is a member of the Commercial Lending Committee for the Maine Bankers Association.

Brenda Gatcomb Renée D. Smyth joined the company as chief marketing officer upon completion of the merger of Camden National Corporation and SBM Financial, the parent company of The Bank of Maine, on October 16, 2015. She was promoted to EVP, chief experience and marketing officer in May 2017. Previously, Ms. Smyth served as senior vice president, head of marketing for The Bank of Maine, since 2010.
