Please keep using your current debit card and PIN from The Bank of Maine. In late 2015/early 2016, you will receive a new Camden National chip-enabled debit card.
A. No, you will be transferred into a new account, which is similar to the one that you currently have at The Bank of Maine. Call us at 800.860.8821 if you have any questions about your new account. We are here to help and will work with you to find the right solution for your needs.
A. No, your account number will remain the same.
A. You will receive all rewards earned through Friday, October 16. These will be credited to your account and appear on your last The Bank of Maine statement dated October 16.
A. Yes, your Health Savings account will transfer to Camden National Bank.
A. If you have an account linked for overdraft protection, it will still be linked when it transfers over to Camden National. This includes savings and checking accounts and lines of credit.
A. Yes, if you currently participate in The Bank of Maine's overdraft program, you will be automatically enrolled in Camden National's discretionary overdraft protection program called Progressive Pay. It is a special overdraft service that may approve the payment of items beyond your available balance on a discretionary basis, depending on your account history and activity. For more information, please refer to the account disclosure document.
A. No, Camden National does not have a daily overdraft cap. We offer balance alerts and alternative products to help lessen the overdraft fees that you may incur.
A. Yes, your direct deposit and automatic payments will transfer to Camden National. You do not need to take any action!
A. No, your safe deposit box will remain in the same location and under the same terms and conditions.
A. Your CD will automatically transfer to Camden National Bank with the same rates and terms that you currently have. Upon renewal, Camden National rates and terms will apply.
A. Your IRA will transfer over, and Camden National will become the custodian of the account. If you are currently receiving automatic minimum distribution payments, these will continue without interruption.
A. Your deposits will continue to be insured up to the maximum amount allowed by law. If you currently have deposit accounts at Camden National and The Bank of Maine with the same ownership title or titles, your deposits will continue to be insured separately until April 15, 2016.
CDs transferring from The Bank of Maine will continue to be separately insured until the earliest maturity date after April 15, 2016.
CDs maturing prior to April 15, 2016, that are renewed for the same term and amount (either with or without accrued interest) will continue to be separately insured until the earliest maturity date after April 15, 2016.
A. Yes, please continue to use your existing The Bank of Maine debit card as you currently do. We will mail out new cards to all customers in late 2015/early 2016.
A. You will receive a new Camden National Bank chip-enabled debit card in late 2015/early 2016. Until you receive your new debit card, your The Bank of Maine debit card will be accepted at all retailers where Visa® is accepted.
A. A chip-enabled debit card provides you with more security and is accepted everywhere you current debit card is.
A. If you need a replacement card due to the loss of a card or damage prior to January 2016, please visit a local Camden National branch or call 800.860.8821, and we will be happy to issue you a new Camden National debit card.
A. No, your card will be recognized as a Camden National card starting on Friday, October 16, and thus, you will not be charged any additional account-related fees. Please check your account disclosure for more information. In addition to having access to over 85 Camden National ATMs, you can use your card free at any of the 200 Maine Cash Access machines across the state. Visit MaineCash.com to find the one closest to you.
A. Yes, on Monday, October 19, you will be able to use a Camden National ATM for your banking needs. Camden National has “smart” ATMs at many of its locations, which allow you to make transactions without envelopes or deposit slips, and you can deposit up to 25 checks at one time.
A. Yes, your account number will remain the same, so you can continue to use your existing checks and deposit slips.
A. You will receive your final The Bank of Maine account statement in October. This will contain all your account information through Friday, October 16. Good news: We have waived the monthly service fee for the final account statement.
A. Yes, if you currently receive eStatements from The Bank of Maine, you will automatically be re-enrolled in them. You may access your eStatement through Camden National Bank’s online and mobile banking portal by going to Services/View Statements.
A. Simply go to online/mobile banking and select Settings/Statement Delivery.
A. No, they will be even better! Starting on Monday, October 19, your online and mobile banking account will transfer to the Camden National Bank system, which will give you the same experience across all devices — computer/laptop, tablet and smartphone. You will be able to bank from anywhere! Pay bills, transfer money and make a mobile deposit. The new system also has robust alert offerings and text banking. You will always have access to your account and the convenience to bank when the time is right for you.
A. To log into Camden National's Online Banking platform, visit CamdenNational.com and click Online Banking Login. This will take you to the login page. Please bookmark this page or make it a favorite for future reference.
A. Yes, your Online Banking ID will transfer over to the Camden National's Online Banking platform. The first time you log in, you will need to go through the secure access code process. This will ensure the device you are using is secure, and at that time, you will re-establish your password.
A. Yes, you will need to download the new Camden National mobile banking app from the Apple™ App Store or Google Play. Your new online and mobile banking will not be available to you until Monday, October 19.
A. Yes, you will log in for the first time with your existing Online Banking ID and will need to follow the secure access code process to add the security protection to your mobile device. If you have already set up your password via online banking, you will be able to use the same password on your mobile device.
A. Yes, Camden National uses the same bill pay platform as The Bank of Maine and processes bill payments the same way.
A. Yes, your current mortgage, loan or line of credit will automatically transfer over to Camden National, and your terms and conditions will remain the same.
