  • Week of September 14: Information about your new Camden National account(s) will arrive in the mail
  • October 17: All branches of The Bank of Maine will be closed
  • October 19: All branches of The Bank of Maine will reopen as Camden National Bank

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What does this mean to me as a customer of The Bank of Maine?

A. You will continue to benefit from working with the same people in the same locations, with the same commitment to the community and customer service. The biggest difference is that you will have access to more locations, more ATMs and more resources.

Q. What is changing right away?

A. Your day-to-day banking experience will not change. You can continue to visit the same branch locations and make payments and withdrawals as you currently do. You will continue to receive the highest level of personal service and have access to the same banking tools and products as you do today.

Q. Will my account(s) remain the same?

A. In September, you will be receiving information about your new Camden National Bank checking and/or savings account.

Q. Will I still be able to earn rewards?

A. Yes, we will still be offering a rewards checking account.

Q. Will my rewards transfer to my new account?

A. You will receive all outstanding rewards as of October 16. Starting on October 17, you will start to earn new rewards based upon the new account criteria.

Q. Will I still be able to use my checks from The Bank of Maine?

A. Yes, you will still be able to use all of your existing checks. When you reorder checks, you will receive Camden National ones.

Q. When will I receive my new debit card?

A. You will be able to use your existing debit card from The Bank of Maine through the integration of the two banks. We will be reissuing a new chip-enabled debit card in late 2015 and early 2016.
